Objection to the White Hart Pub Hotel conversion to flats
I've objected to the White Hart Pub planning application to convert the hotel part of it to flats on the following grounds:
Human Rights Act
Protocol 1, Article 1. This states that a person has the right to peaceful enjoyment of all their possessions, which includes the home and other land. Future residents will be unable to do that.
Detrimental impact upon residential amenities
Council planning policies that are designed to ensure that proposals for development are of good design and respect the character of the surroundings. This includes the appearance and treatment of spaces between and around buildings, and the amenities enjoyed by neighbouring residents. ‘Amenities’ in this case relate to the way to residents’ enjoy the local area..
Loss of privacy and overlooking for the existing and new residents who move into the scheme.
