About Me
I am a resident of Brockley, though born in Sheffield and became active in politics in Lancaster. Member of the Labour Party and active trade unionist. I currently work for UNISON and I am an elected rep for GMB, as well as being on the Executive Committee of the Labour Research Department. I was brought up on a council estate and studied Politics & Religious Studies at Lancaster University. in the past I have been a school governor and a trustee of a Citizens Advice Bureau.
I consider myself to be a Christian, but I believe in a secular society; a vegetarian and a socialist. Politically I am closer to Tony Benn.
